What an architectural nightmare!  Pacific Barrier Cable saves you from these unwanted outcomes.

In this short piece we discuss some design shortfalls we have encountered from contractors who are making up their own rules as they go along.

Two issues we see on this project are too much distance between the cables and not enough cables.

Needs to be retrofitted to proper spacing between cables of max 4 inches.  Small child could fall through it.

Insufficient number of cables: needs 11. Front of vehicle must impact minimum of 3 cables according to the International Building Code.

Rusted Columns Should Have Been Galvanized at the Outset.

Loose Barrier Cables Need Retentioning.

Excessive cable space causes insufficient resistance to absorb vehicle impact and spread out the load.
